November 2019 Monthly Auction

Congratulations to L. Williams who placed the winning bid of $750 for October's silent auction painting, "The Piano Lesson", by Vasily M. Sabov, estimated at $3,000- $4,000.

For this month's auction painting we present a beautiful landscape, "Forest in Autumn" by one of Russia's greatest living landscape painters, Oleg Ivanovich Andreyuk. Estimated at $4,500 to $5,500 the current bid is just $1,250!

Like most Russian artists, Andreyuk was strongly influenced by the world around him. Born in the Republic of Karelia, which borders the Gulf of Finland and the White Sea, Andreyuk was mesmerized by the beauty of the Karelian forests. The influential newspaper Kommersant wrote for the opening of Andreyuk's 2006 Moscow exhibition- "Oleg Ivanovich Andreyuk's paintings are 'portraits' of the beauty of the expansive and rich nature of the Russian landscape. Not subject to time nor dependent on human emotion."
